What really drove this increasingly misnumbered series wa the arrival of an (currently) unnamed car recently. I took a tangent yesterday, riffing about dogs and boats, and in the stream of consciousness, missed the new naming project.

When she first drove up I immediately thought of winter. Yes, it IS winter here, if only a light one. But SHE is winter on wheels. So white she cools your eyes at first sight. Snowflake?

Shes also solid black inside, like what I imagine an imperial ship cockpit to look like. My first night drive shocked me, as the nav map display showed the city as if it were asleep. The streets were lit up, but all the land and horizon were black. Theres this futuristic precision about her, very spacecraft feeling.

Donald fagen had a riff on his first solo album that reminded me of her. ’ introduce me to the big blonde, she has a touch of tuesday weld.’
Funny that I’m not sure I could identify tuesday weld, but shes made an impression on fagen. The new car is certainly an elegant big blonde. All three kids, kit snickett, and trappings of a night at the big house all fit with ease.
Dunno what we’ll christen her, but clearly a wintery, futuristic, elegant big girl are on the table. So to speak. On the negative side, she is prolly gonna get half the mpg that our diesel dasboot scored. She was always in the 30’s. Big momma seems doomed for teens.
Perpetualteen
Shit,a perpetual teen! Baby momma, always clubbing. Never growing into her 30’s. Ouch.
Its fun work, naming things. Especially when theres no money at stake. That makes this process MUCH harder. Hmmmmmm.
In prayer.
